New batch of volunteers

American Ambassador William A. Eaton recently swore in a new group of 32 Peace Corps volunteers, who will be assigned to communities in every province of Panama to work on community environment and sanitation and sustainable agriculture projects. There are now 146 peace corps volunteers in Panama engaged in programs like the ones these volunteers will join as well as teaching a variety of subjects, assisting people to form cooperatives and small businesses and other projects aimed at grass roots sustainable development.
