The apple fell and so did I

Dear Dr. Mutt,

I have been dubbed a strange puppy, not only by my masters but by the world, and as a result I have paid the price. I just love cats, always have, and always will. I don’t question why, but last week I suffered big-time because of my feelings.

Constance the cat and I are good friends, we go way back. Well, Constance decided to run up a tree, and I decided to follow her. That was my big mistake. She trekked up the lower branches, and so did I; but when she hit the top, the thin upper limbs couldn’t sustain my weight and I hit the ground 13 feet below! The doctors say I’m lucky to be alive, but I will be in traction for several months.

Dear Plastered,

Your feline friendship is not surprising. We canines are a friendly lot! I’m just sorry your vertigo is unbalanced. Perhaps you and Constance should keep your jaunts to the lowly terrain – for the good of all concerned! Hope you’re “up” and about soon!
