Panama Canal Quilters raffle winner

On October 28 at the "Who's New Bazaar" at the Continental Hotel, the winner of the "Tropical Rainforest" quilt was Karen Dertien, a teacher at Balboa Academy. 

Our thanks to all who participated and bought tickets for this beautiful machine pieced and quilted wall hanging which was done by paper piecing technique.

We will continue to have a quilt available for raffle at least once or twice a year.  

The proceeds go to various charitable organizations, including helping a Panamanian student through the School of Pharmacy at the University of Panama.
