STANLEY JORDAN :
One of the most creative musicians of this century, Stanley Jordan has been known for developing the "touch" or "tapping" technique on the guitar, and for having a unique voice in the world of improvisational music. He has been a Blue Note Recording Artist, has earned several Grammy Nominations, made frequent appearances on radio and television, toured and performed all over the world. CATHERINE RUSSELL:
Daughter of Luis Russell, Catherine was born in New York City and is well known for her versatile voice technique that have allowed her to sing in many different settings. She has performed with Donal Fagen, Paul Simon, David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Dolly Parton, among others. She currently lives in New York City and teaches at Berklee College of Music. CARIBBEAN JAZZ PROJECT:
Dave Samuels has earned a reputation as one of the most important mallet players of his generation. He earned a Grammy Award in 2003 for "Best Latin Jazz Recording" with his group "Caribbean Jazz Project." TIA FULLER QUARTET:
Saxophonist Tia Fuller begun her musical studies at the age of three. She has performed with Jon Faddis Jazz Orchestra, Nancy Wilson Jazz Orchestra, Duke Ellington Jazz Orchestra, DIVA Jazz Orchestra, among other settings.
