its negation) and example of honorable public service (and its
opposite). It's important to know these things, because there is
reality and there is fiction; there is honor and there is disgrace;
there is truth and there is falsehood --- and if you can't
distinguish these things then you tend to be quite worthless as a
citizen in your community and a poor excuse for a human being in
every other context.

do we clean up Panamanian justice? First of all, such a thing is done
by recruiting men and women of this man's moral qualities into the
judicial system. The
Great Liberator, a complicated man who was defeated time and again
and died in despair, but nevertheless freed northern South America
from Spanish rule and set an example of progressive, honorable public
service that's generations later still held up as a shining example.
If you don't know who this man was, you can't understand our region
of the world.
Just
because a man's name gets immortalized in several languages as a noun
or adjective to describe certain sorts of people and the things they
do does NOT mean that his was a life worth living.
Could
Panama's justice system get much worse? Actually, it very well could.
However, it would take an intensive search to find a piece of work
quite like this guy to make such a definitive mess of things. Hey, wait a
minute! Look at yourself. Look at the palm of your hand. Your line
--- it's deviationist!
You'd better make an adequate confession, citizen: one that implicates all of your friends and relatives.... Yahoo's
