the Ancon Theater, by no means the first time that the Theatre Guild
had put on a musical event at that venue. But the underlying meaning
was that this was a talented younger generation, which had just taken
control of the Guild's board of governors, making its first mark on
Panama's English-language theater scene. Look for a more active
theater, with both the established regulars and a much younger crowd
putting on plays, over the next year. And who knows? This may also be
the start of a new music scene.
