The "Silent Auction" is a new event for us and we want to be sure that it is as much of a success as is possible. We have received many items to include in this auction, but we need many more if this is going to be fun and successful. This is another plea for items to help make our first annual auction not only a success, but also a fun and interesting event. However, this time we are asking you to donate items you have that are in good repair, but may or may not be new. For instance, do you have a nice silver tea service/antique glasses/crystal vase/power tools/fishing gear and you are wondering why you have these things taking up space when you never use them? Did you buy too many light fixtures/ tiles/ceilings fans/door knobs/towel bars, etc. for your remodel and have no reason to keep them but can't return them? Things like this might be of little value to you but could generate some money for our auction that would be passed on to our charities, so think about it. We also need you to help us to make this auction a success by asking a few of your favorite retail establishments to donate an item for this event. The donated items don't have to be big... dinner for two, manicure & pedicure, plants, power tools, gourmet foods, gift certificates, hotel stays, fishing trips, bottles of wine, etc. Let's make this another successful event!
