Plain Vain Dear Dr. Mutt,
Though I have no pedigree status, the features I inherited combine to make me one handsome canine. The gals on the block do a double-take when I stroll by, and they all want my number – all except for one! I saw her near the cans the other day, and I tried to bark up a conversation, but she ran away without a word. She’s not that great to look at, but there’s something about her. Why did she run away? Stumped in Stetson

There
are many possibilities as to why she ran away. She may have been in a
hurry, or perhaps she just wasn’t interested, or maybe she was
inviting you to follow her! The big question is why didn’t you
chase after her?
