Another way to spend winter break

OK, let's not be flippant here. Waging guerrilla war as part of the ragtag army of an ancient nation that's resisting the cruel tyranny of the obnoxious military dictatorship in Myanmar (Burma) is not a pleasant vacation, unless one has some strange tastes.

This time the travel feature in The Panama News takes us to eastern Burma, where Tom Bleming is running with the warriors of the Karen reistance. The Karen are one of several of Burma's ethnic minorities that have armies in the field to take on the dictatorship.
