The forecast is for scattered thundershowers, but they're very scattered. On the Atlantic side we're seeing rain and here and there we have had Pacific side showers, but most of the country is dry and afternoon highs are getting into the high 90s, about as hot as it ever gets in Panama. The delayed onset of rainy season has not yet become an operational problem for the Panama Canal, but in some places it's beginning to affect water supplies and it does have an impact on the national hydroelectric generating capacity.
