Auction of Fine Art By Panamanian Painters

We would like to extend you a special invitation to attend our XI Fine Art Auction of Panamanian Painters, celebrating the 83-year life of painter and teacher Carlos Arboleda. It will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Grand Ballroom of The Miramar Intercontinental Hotel, at 8:00 p.m.

Some of the participants are Manuel Chong Neto, Ivan Delgado, Guillermo Trujillo, Cesar Arboleda and Thannyo De Freitas, who have donated valuable fine art for this auction.

The contribution for this event is $15, which includes admission and the cheese and wine. In addition, when you acquire one of these works of precious fine art, you not only get an article of great value for an excellent price, but also contribute to our organization, which helps many Panamanians who live in extreme poverty to be healthier and better nourished.

The Patronato de Nutricion is a special non-profit organization, created by Law 17 of November 19, 1990, in the Republic of Panama. Our main goal is to improve the diets of infants, children and pregnant or breast-feeding mothers.

We carry out programs that look toward a permanent solution of nutritional problems, through our special project called “Sustained Production Farms,” where the farmers learn techniques to grow their own products while maintaining responsibility in their own hands.

A “Production Farm” is an area in a region of extreme poverty, where agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry are integrated for the purpose of making the farmers self-sustained through the maximum efficiency of existing resources. The products of the farms permit their members to obtain some of the basic food demands of a family and also, by selling the surplus, additional income to improve their lives.
