New American Society board

This past Thursday, April 24 we had our annual elections at Restaurante Rino's. We had a very good event and the response was excellent. Here are the results of the elections. Congratulations to all those that participated by voting, as you actively supported your organization. Congratulations to all the candidates for their success, and we welcome all of you to continue supporting your organization with your new ideas and constructive criticism which will make us a stronger and better organization.
The results of these elections are listed below in alphabetical order.

The following have been elected to a 2 year term on the Board:
Sandra Abell
John Beavers
Robert Emerick
Cedric Gittens
Marilyn Johnson

The following person was elected to a 1 year term on the Board:
Phil Edmonston

The following have been chosen for a one year term as an Alternate Board member:
Aaron Jimenez
William E. Mariano
Starr McCamant
Genetta Staple-Ward
Joe Pulvino
Pascale Schwander

The newly elected board members will join
the following board members serving out their last year on the Board:
Charles Garcia
Eunice Greaves
Thomas R. Lord, Jr.
Rita Sosa

The US Embassy appointed representative on the Board is:
Michael R. Fraser

The new board will meet on Wednesday, May 7 and together by secret ballot will choose the officers of the AmSoc for 2008-2009. That new board of directors will be installed at the upcoming Installation Night & Silent Auction at the Plaza Paitilla Inn Hotel in Paitilla on 29 May 2008. Please reserve that date for the Installation and our 1st Silent Auction.
