on a visit to Colon, how does US Ambassador Bill Eaton weigh the
balance between hope and despair?
"I see more hope than despair," he said. "There are a lot of possibilities for Colon. There's a high level of English. Colon could really grow." In particular, he expects the building of the new Panama - Colon toll road to multiply local business opportunities.
