BENT revolves around the persecution of gay men in the Third Reich Germany after the murder of Sturmabteilung leader Ernst Rohm.

It is the story of a promiscuous gay man Max and how he finds redemption through the ties he forges with Horst who shows him the dignity that lies in acknowledging what one is.

It was first staged in the 70s, starring Sir Ian McKellen in its West End production and Richard Gere on Broadway. In 1997 it was adapted into a film with Clive Owen, Lothaire Blutheau, Sir Ian McKellen and Mick Jagger.

The Panama production of BENT in Spanish is possible under special permit by Samuel French publishers.
