PANAMA PICTURE EXPOSITION
BLACKS IN PANAMA

The Panamanian Historical Society of Chicago is asking for your cooperation with a special project in the fall/winter of 2008

The project will consist of depicting pictures that will honor the memories of the Afro-Antilleans that made their lives in Panama after the construction of the Panama Railroad and the Canal

There are various stages to this project beginning with this first phase

The Curator and coordinator of the project is Ms. Melinda C. Evelyn

Your precious memories are important and an integral part of this project

In order to begin phase I:

WE ARE REQUESTING DONATIONS OR LOANS OF NOSTALGIC PICTURES/ARTS THAT REFLECT THE LIVES OF AFRO-PANAMANIANS AND THEIR DESCENDANTS (From the 1800 to the present):

FAMILY PORTRAITS, SOCIAL EVENTS, LODGES, BARBER SHOPS, SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS AS ALL PICTURES WILL BECOME PROPERTY OF THE CURATOR AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED DUE TO FUTURE USE
