USA Caravana Committee

Dear American Society Members,

It is Caravana time once again. We have always appreciated the generosity of the American Society membership and the help they provide to the USA Caravana Committee. We ask for your continued support.

We will sponsor two events to raise funds for Caravana de Asistencia Social. This is an annual charity bazaar held at ATLAPA convention center where representatives of various countries come together and sponsor a booth which sells food and items typical of each country.

The USA Caravana Committee will sponsor an auction, location and date to be announced, and a tombola (people reach into a revolving basket to draw a number which determines what kind of prize they will receive) at the US booth on September 4 2008. We are asking you to donate new items that can be used as prizes in the tombola or items which can be used at our silent auction.

You can bring donations to the August event or call Rita Sosa at 6617-0077 or Annie Dooner at 6612-8394 to arrange for pick-up.

We will have a sign up sheet for people who would like to volunteer for various activities connected to Caravana at the August event. There are many ways to get involved.
