Benefit Golf Tournament Friday, December 19 Summit Golf & Resort  It's
the park's 85th birthday --- dating back to its origin as the Canal
Zone's experimental plantation to see which tropical landscaping plants
thrive under which conditions --- and to make what has since become a
Panama City municipal zoo, botanical garden and
recreational facility the worthy flagship of the metro area park system
that
it ought to be, a non-profit foundation, the Patronato de Parque
Municipal Summit, has been created to manage and improve the facility.
To sign up for the tournament, or for the benefit breakfast or luncheon at the Summit Golf & Resort clubhouse that same day, call the Patronato's director, Adrian Benedetti, at 232-4850. The patronato is especially looking for corporate sponsors for this event, from which your company will get advertising benefits and a tax deduction.
