Miguel Antonio Bernal may be a prominent lawyer, but he's not
especially wealthy and is not expected to raise the money for an
expensive television campaign like some of his rivals will wage. Thus
he's waging a more traditional ground campaign, and over the holidays
was seen working the crowds along parade routes. Above, he's meeting
voters at the Independence Day parades in Panama City. Below, he's
campaigning among his many fellow capital residents with
Santeño roots
who went back to La Villa de Los Santos for the November 10 celebration
of the first call for independence from Spain that was issued from that
town.
