see above are "guy cookies" -- not flattened and rounded for the sake
of appearance. There are so many ways to make oatmeal cookies, and what you do
is first, dry some mangoes and use dried mango bits in place of raisins
on an oatmeal raisin cookie recipe. What
I did here was adapt a recipe from my mom's old classic, The Gold Cook
Book, swapping mangoes for raisins, omitting the nuts but putting in a
bit of almond extract and changing the spices around from a cinnamon
orientation to one of allspice and ginger.
