Yes, there's  a desert in the Azuero Peninsula if you appreciate that sort of thing in Panama. But for most of us, Panama is in the torrid zone of the tropics and we are into the season when days are often increasingly  hot and muggy until, sometime in the afternoon, the sky turns very black and suddenly the rain comes down like this.


Then, more often than not, the rain suddenly stops and a light ocean breeze comes in to cool things off.

The really heavy rains usually start in about October and end in late December.
