Yes, there is a certain inherited quickness, a certain killer instinct, a certain innate facility at eye-hand coordination that a prizefighter must possess to be successful. But then these congenital gifts must be improved upon. Skills must be painstakingly acquired. The body must be worked hard into top-notch condition. And so Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, the World Boxing Association's bantamweight champion, trains hard for another defense of his title, which will take place against Frederic Patrac in Agde, France on December 4.
