Doggie Distress

Dear Doctor Mutt,

The rain started up again early this morning. Blinding light flashes across the sky and big explosions detonate nearby. My yard is muddy, and my house is flooded. My dish is empty, and the master is nowhere to be seen. I’m scared and I’m hungry.

Freaking out in Franklin

Dear Freaking,

Electrical storms can frighten the fur off the best of us. It’s not easy, but you must learn to cope with them. Try to find a high spot in the yard, preferably not under a tree, and wait it out. Your master is probably at work, and surely when he gets home, he’ll check on you. Keep your chin up and stay dry.
