Although our enjoyment of the Mil Polleras de Azuero in Las
Tablas made for a very long day (we didn't get home until after 9:30
pm), it was a good thing we drove home that night. Going over the
Rio Grande we could see how high it was. The heaving clouds in the
mountains were significant and the flooding overnight is not surprising.
After standing along the parade route for 4 1/2 hours, our
efforts were rewarded with the swirling beauty of young and old.
Truly a delight! The different patterns, colors and styles were
simply breathtaking. The Azuero is one of our favorite areas of
Panama.
