Young Rio Hato dancers get a visitor
photos and note by Wendy Reaman

Orgulla Rio Hato Sur is a little dance troupe that we have had the pleasure of seeing perform a number of times. Recently we enjoyed a performance at XS Restaurant in Santa Clara. There was an appearance by Santa and every member of the troupe received something from his bag of gifts.

In order to remain in the troupe, these children must maintain good grades in school. In 2011, there was a fire in the home of the lady who maintains the costumes. Fortunately no one was hurt but the costumes were lost. Through donations, she was able to sew new costumes and so the troupe dances on.
